Inside the shoot day with Producer Keith Fenimore

7:00 am – We begin our load in, unpacking our production truck full of lights, camera equipment, cables, dildos and other sex toy props.
7:30 am – Security arrives to protect and serve. When you mix Porn Stars and a live audience of horn dogs, security is a must. Ronnie "The Limo Driver” Mund, donned in a ‘don’t mess with me’ turtle neck, came with his partner Joe. I’ve never felt safer.
9:00 am – 11:00 am – We were hanging lights and setting up cameras. Believe it or not for what appears to be a simple shoot – two people on stage talking – is actually pretty involved. We have five cameras in all. A jib that captures the stage and the audience, a guest single, Richard single, two shoot and an audience cam. We also place the set pieces which consists of two chairs and table and a whole bunch of dildos (which we have kept in a box labeled “box of dicks”…just another day at the office.)
11:00 – 11:30 am – Sal “The Stock Broker”, JD, Will and Richard Christy showed up. Richard was feeling particularly fresh after seeing Metallica the night before. Remember anyone who wants to be an on air host… make sure you stay up late boozing at a rock show the night before you are about to shoot four shows. In all seriousness, Richard was a true pro, he had his game face on, rock concert or not. He slipped into his interviewing suit and put on his specs. I think I accidently called him James Lipton like three times.
11:45 – The porn stars begin to arrive. First up is Britney Stevens, sans an entourage, which I loved. We took her back to the holding area, got her mic’d up and which in 20 minutes or so she was on stage.
12:00 – We began shooting only stopping long enough to fix a mic issue or change tape in a camera. All went off with out a glitch!
We had the good fortune to shoot with four really established ladies -- Britney Stevens, Tory Lane, Pinky and Amy Ried. Everyone got naked and each brought something unique to the table.
Britney was very talkative and at times seemed a bit bewildered by Richard’s tough questions, but I have to give her credit she did willingly talk about having sex with her sister!
Pinky took the interview so seriously, you’d think she was sitting across from Barbara Walters.
Tory Lane was porn star personified. I think she scared me a little, but in a good way.
Amy Ried had nice boobs.
All in all, we had fun putting this one together. When you watch the shows, I hope you laugh at the jokes and learn from the wisdom that the porn stars share about their sexual escapades.
Now I have to go prep my next Howard TV original series “This is Beetle.” Yup, wack packer Beetle Juice is finally getting his own series. Stay tuned!
