Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

One of my favorite recurring segments on The Bonus Show is “Inside the Creative Meeting”, where we go behind-the-scenes and see Howard & the team’s brainstorming process. It’s legitimately awesome, even for a jaded insider like me. On this week’s episode of The Bonus Show, we watch a clip of Seth MacFarlane (before he was SETH MACFARLANE) being pitched as a guest in the meeting. I’m not going to give you all the backstory on this , but dot dot dot, it leads up to Richard Christy saying (yet again?) that he’d provide some um, very intimate man love to Seth if he’d come on the show. Let’s discuss this.
Richard, why does a good 80% of your comedy go gay?! It’s particularly interesting to me because I have outstanding gaydar and –other than the outlandish and completely gay things you do on the show- you don’t give me gay vibe AT ALL!
Let me also say for the record that Richard Christy’s fiancé, Kristin, is one of my favorite people on the planet. And I realize more and more every day what a special chick it takes to be completely ok with Richard’s go to comedgay. She’s not just ok with it, it legitimately cracks her up. Richard, you better treat that girl like gold because I think a lesser woman might find your antics HIGHLY disturbing. Or at least “confusing”. Or perhaps “experimental”. So for all you guys out there who like to occasionally tea bag your friends while they lay passed out- keep it up! You might just get a job like Richard and a girl like Kristin! Or at least open the door towards moving that friendship to the “antiquing on weekends” type.
Other highlights from this week’s show- and there are many- Baba Booey’s Mail Bag is back, we ‘Blast from the Past’…very literally with a particularly gaseous stripper & Colin Quinn discusses his Christy-like tendencies (as it pertains to musical theatre).
Enjoy!
