Miss Howard TV Blog

I never thought I'd go from dental school to the Howard Stern show in the same day, let alone become Miss Howard TV for October 2008! What an amazing experience! Since the day I stepped foot in LA, I've always been involved in the entertainment industry, particularly with a focus in music. Recently, I decided to branch out a bit, and did some modeling this summer when I was chosen to be USC's Calendar girl for the Pac Ten Tempe12 calendar (get your copy at www.tempe12.com right now!).

I was blown away when I received a call a few weeks ago from the one and only David Freedman, the President/CEO of Tempe12, when he asked me to fly to NYC to not only be a part of Howard's morning show, but to also to be Miss Howard TV for the month and also appear on Maxim Radio. After a long plane ride from Los Angeles and zero sleep, I arrived very early at the studio, only to find myself sitting next to Ron Jeremy in the green room! Fun stuff and what a great start to my day!

When Howard pulled me in, of course the first thing he said was "take off your shirt." That intimidated me at first because I'm not the typical type of girl that you'd imagine would appear on his show, but I must be honest with you; Howard was great to talk to and I really appreciated the fact that he acknowledged and admired my ability to pursue dentistry and my career in entertainment at the same time. "Beauty and Brains" is certainly a nice title to have, especially coming from Stern!

I had a blast talking to him, Artie, and Robin about my school, my boyfriend, my Dad's "love cream" creation (www.vibrancetc.com), tempe12, my infamous burps, and all of my other hobbies (www.alexistunes.com). Working with the crew all day and doing the promos was the best part. Gange was so nice and hospitable, and made me feel very comfortable! My job was made that much easier and more enjoyable because I had great people surrounding me!

No I didn't ride the sybian or jump in the tickle chair, but I had plenty of fun doing karate moves and dancing around in my doctor coat with the crew in a bikini! After my photo shoot, I went over to Maxim radio to chat with Covino and Rich about all sorts of stuff, like the calendar, boys, and beer!!! I must say, it was a pretty packed day, and by the end of it all I was more than exhausted. But, every bit was worth it, and I'm proud to call myself Miss Howard TV!
