"How I Spent My Summer Vacation"

During a Howard TV production meeting in late May, my bosses - Doug Goodstein and Mike Gange - informed me that I'd be spending the first month of the sweltering season documenting the day-to-life of Howard's driver/security guard/all-around tough guy, Ronnie "The Limo Driver" Mund. So, armed with a camera, ample tape stock, and some batteries - the "summer of Mund" had quickly befallen me...

And as I began this daunting task, my mind began racing faster than Ronnie to Rick's Cabaret - as I literally had no clue how a cranky chaffeur-turned-undersized security guard could possibly be compelling enough to fill a four-part series. Yet after capturing a few narcaleptic nod-outs, some Ronnie-related outbursts, and a seemingly endless supply of Richard and Sal taunt sessions, a knowing smile took to my face...as it became overwhelmingly apparent that the man behind the mock turtleneck was going to be a Howard TV reality star.

Coupled with the unrelenting efforts of "Super PA" Dan Garafalo (who logged each and every second of Mund madness without error), the fast fingers of editor extrodinaire Tony "The Jedi" Gargano (who spent six weeks with me, perfectly chopping up Ronald in a face-paced, hilarious style that only The Jedi himself knows how to do), the off-the-wall creativity of Jason "Fatty McLards" Katz (who cut several show graphics as well as the mind-blowing show open) and of course, the workhorse contributions of Richard "Rusty" Christy and Sal "G-Man" Governale (who not only hosted the show, but designed/recorded several bits and even rapped the "Ronnie Mund Show" theme song) - Team Ronnie came together in perfect congruence in order to create a Stern Show spectacular that everyone can be proud of (well, everyone except for Ronnie).

From the ball-busting of his co-workers, to bits that speculate on his inner-monologue, to man-on-the-street interviews utilizing a cardboard cut-out of Ronnie's likeness, "The Ronnie Mund Show" is nothing, well - short - of entertaining. So when you sit down tonight after work, crack open a beer, and flip on the tube to catch some Howard TV, I truly hope you'll enjoy this rare, behind-the-scenes look at the loud-mouthed limo driver...because we certainly enjoyed bringing it to you.
